Terms of use

Effective 5 October 2026

These terms apply to you from the day you create your account. They are between you and Jo&Ko Ventures, LLC, a United States company (“Huppy”). By creating an account you agree to them. The privacy policy is part of them.

1. What Huppy is

Huppy is a journal for eight areas of your life: you log, Huppy shows you the picture. It runs as an app for iPhone and Android and at app.huppy.io, and, if you turn it on, over WhatsApp. Huppy is free today. If paid features arrive, their price and terms are shown before you pay.

2. What Huppy is not

Huppy is not a doctor, a therapist, a financial adviser or a lawyer, and nothing in it is medical, psychological, financial or legal advice. Ratings, streaks, wheels and reminders describe what you logged; they do not diagnose, treat or recommend. For a health concern, see a professional. In an emergency, call your local emergency number. For money decisions, use a licensed adviser. Huppy never tells you what to do with your life; it only shows you what you told it.

3. Who can use it

You must be 16 or older and able to enter a contract where you live. One account per person. Keep your sign-in to yourself; what happens under your account is yours. Tell hello@huppy.io at once if you think someone else has it.

4. Your content

What you log, write and send is yours. You give Huppy a licence to store, process and show it back to you, and to the people you share it with, for as long as you keep it, and for nothing else. You are responsible for what you upload: send only documents you have the right to send, and do not upload other people’s personal data except where you are entitled to.

5. How Huppy reads a document

When you send a statement or a report, a model proposes an entry. You confirm it with Looks right or reject it with Undo. The reading can be incomplete or wrong; what you confirm becomes your record, and you are responsible for checking it before you rely on it. Huppy is not responsible for a decision taken on a figure it read.

6. WhatsApp

WhatsApp check-ins and reminders are optional. Turn them on in Settings; turn them off there, or reply STOP, and they end. Messages travel over WhatsApp and are subject to WhatsApp’s terms on your side. Huppy keeps the messages for about 30 days (see the privacy policy). Your carrier’s data charges apply.

7. Sharing

If you share a commitment or send an invite, the other person sees what the privacy policy says they see. Share only with people who want it. Either of you can end a share at any time.

8. Acceptable use

Do not: break into, probe or overload the service; copy, scrape or resell it; reverse-engineer the app; use it to harass anyone; upload unlawful content or malware; or create accounts for other people. Huppy may suspend an account that does.

9. Huppy’s property

The Huppy name, the wordmark and its period, the wheel, the design, the text and the software are Huppy’s or its licensors’. The licence you get is to use the app and the site as they are offered, for yourself. Nothing here gives you a right to the name or the marks.

10. Availability and changes

Huppy is new and will change. Features may be added, altered or removed, and the service may be down for maintenance or for reasons outside Huppy’s control. Keep an export of anything you cannot afford to lose; the export is a tap away in Settings. Huppy may change these terms; a change that matters is shown in the app before it takes effect, and using Huppy after that date accepts it.

11. Ending

You can leave at any time: Settings, then Delete account. Huppy may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, with notice unless the breach makes notice unsafe. Your data is handled as the privacy policy says, including the 30-day window to change your mind.

12. Liability

Huppy is provided as it is, without warranties beyond those the law will not let us exclude. To the extent the law allows, Huppy is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for loss arising from a decision you took on what Huppy showed you, or for loss of data you did not export. Huppy’s total liability to you is limited to what you paid Huppy in the twelve months before the claim or, if more, 100 US dollars. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer that cannot be limited by contract.

13. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of the State of Delaware, United States, and the state and federal courts in Delaware have jurisdiction, without taking away protections you have as a consumer where you live. Before any claim, write to hello@huppy.io; most things get sorted that way.
